Printmaking Tutorial

Scanning the internet, I assume I was looking for printmaking stuff, I was surprised to come across some tutorials I gave over Zoom for the Plastic Club during the pandemic. Like many good organizations eager to continue to serving their members’ needs, the Plastic Club jumped on board with many on-line events. I was delighted to be part of this endeavor, sharing skills people can try on their own. The first video talks about several methods to print without a press at home. The second video is members showing and discussing work they made based on techniques demonstrated in the first video. Thank you to the Plastic Club for making these available (still) and I am sharing them on my blog below.

As stated above, this next video is about results participants had after trying the techniques above. Some are extremely creative, keeping the idea of what is available in my house right now? If you think back on pandemic days, this is what we were working with – what we had on hand. If you are a process driven artist, this video will intrigue you. I can’t help taking a special liking to this video for a few reasons, mainly, because my little kitty, to whom we recently had to say good-bye, is in the background.
